New Ross - February, 15 - Clara Walden Emmert passed away at her home two miles north of New Ross. Sunday evening at 5:30 o'clock of complications, after an illness of six weeks. The deceased was born in Monroe county, Kentucky, on March 26, 1888, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W.J. Walden. She was first married to J.J. Marshall on December 23, 1907. Later she was united in marriage to Henry Emmert on August 23, 1919. She was a member of the Christian Science church. Surviving are the husband, Henry Emmert, four daughters, Helen Louis Parks of Darlington; Marion Virginia Marshall, at home,; Margaret Jane and Betty Alice Emmert, at home; one son, Robert Walden Marshall, at home; one step-daughter, Leotha Lowe of Crawfordsville; one sister, Mrs. A. C. Tiney, of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Paul Walden of Columbus, Ohio, and Blias Walden of Thompsonville, Kentucky; one step-brother Harold Walden, of Kentucky, and the step-mother, Mrs. Anna Walden, of Kentucky. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Proffitt & Sons funeral home in charge of Melville Shaw. Burial will be held at Masonic cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Avery Fuller, Mrs. Bert Hill and Miss Laverne MARSHALL attended the funeral of Mrs. Henry EMMERT in Crawfordsville, Tuesday. Mrs. Emmert was Miss Clara WALDEN and was first married to Jesse MARSHALL who died several years ago.- transcribed by kbz
